I’ve cheated. I’ve gone and bought yet another sleeping bag, and this one wasn’t that cheap, although it was discounted heavily, so that still sort of counts!
I visited my local Blacks shop as I’d been told they had down bags going for £75, which indeed they did. However, the bags were wafer thin and were stored in their compression sacks, which is a big no no. While I was there I noticed they had the Mountain Hardwear Lamina synthetic bags in stock, stored more sensibly, semi lofted in big mesh bags. I also noticed the Lamina 35 was down from £125, to £65*. I popped it in to its compression sack and was amazed at how small it packs considering its synthetic. And the rest, as they say, is history… See below for size and weight of the new bag.
